The Recon line of panel goggles are a great entry level FPV headset. They are simple, affordable, and have an ultra-immersive FOV. The Recon V3 has an integrated four band, 32-channel receiver, and USB charging. It puts ease-of-use first and lets pilots focus on the full FPV experience without worrying about extra charging cables or accessory components.
Version 3 of the Recon Goggles is a very mature design. It has an included onboard DVR, uses an integrated channel scanner to pick up the strongest video feed and has an improved 800 x 480 TFT resolution display for a crisper image. The onboard OSD shows video signal strength, battery lifetime, and selected channel. The Recon V3 is the ideal choice for a new pilot looking for a complete, high-quality headset.

I owned fatshark scout goggles but left them on the trunk of my vehicle to run a out 100 meters in park to get my crashed quadcopter and a bum ran up and grabbed my scout goggles and took off running. He got away but I'm keeping my eyes out for him so I needed a new pair and couldn't afford scouts so I got fatshark recon v3. I have to say ofcourse they were a step down from the scouts but still has a good picture but no diversity and a mono antenna which should be switched out for omni 4 love antenna. Difference is night and day on clear fpv video + there's a micro sd slot on recon and the picture is bright and contrast is adjustable as well as brightness. Better then version 1 & 2. In my opinion their better then any box goggles you can get next to its diversified big brother

I had the scouts but left on front yard while I ran in the house to get something gone for 3 seconds and someone stole them so I bought the fatshark recon v3 because I didn't have the money for for scouts. There is a difference in the picture v3 not quite as sharp but number 2 behind scout goggles. I'm upgrading to omni so I expect a real improvement hard to do picture with the antenna that comes with v3 recons works better then any stock type on other goggles I've used similar antenna
